This article provides a list of basic troubleshooting steps for end-users when the Okta Browser Plugin is having issues.

Solution

Below are some basic troubleshooting steps to try. In most cases, the issue is resolved by one of them:

  1. Ensure the User's Browser Version is the latest.
  2. Ensure the Okta Browser Plugin is up to date.
  3. Ensure the User has no JavaScript blockers or firewalls that could impact the Browser/Plugin.
  4. Reset the Okta Browser Plugin from Extensions > Okta Browser Plugin > Settings gear(Settings Gear) > Scroll to the bottom and click Reset Plugin.
  5. Go to Okta Browser Plugin > Options > click on Reset Plugin.

Okta browser plugin   

  1. Clear the browser cache & cookies.
  2. Restart the browser.
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the Okta Browser Plugin.
