The Okta Browser Plugin fails to auto-submit for the Template 2 Page Plugin App because the application template does not support this feature. Identity Provider (IdP)-initiated Single Sign-On (SSO) bypasses this limitation by facilitating multi-step logins.
When a Template 2 Page Plugin App configuration exists, the browser plugin does not prompt for 1-click Sign-in, even if the auto-submit checkbox is selected. The Developer Tools console in the web browser displays the following error:
Did not match any monitored site. Matching against self service sites.

- Okta Classic Engine

- Okta Browser Plugin
How is the Okta Browser Plugin auto-submit issue resolved?
Identity Provider (IdP)-initiated Single Sign-On (SSO) functions correctly for multi-step logins. However, Okta does not support Service Provider (SP)-initiated login methods, such as an autofill modal or auto-submit, for these applications.
