Accidentally deleted Okta Verify - How to Get a new QR Code to add account again

 

I have a test dev Okta account and had two-factor authentication (2FA) set up, but I accidentally deleted the app from my phone. I reinstalled the app but don’t know how to get the QR code to add my account back. Every time asked me to input code that I don't have

    Ideally, if there is another Super Admin in the org with access, they would be able to reset your MFA.

     

    If you have a paid production account with us, please leverage it to open a case via the support.okta.com site or call the support line.

    If for whatever reason those options are not available for you, please contact your Okta Account Executive or Customer Success Manager, and they will be able to engage the Support team on your behalf. 

     

    If no paid developer or production account is available, the only option left is to sign up for a new free trial or developer account.

      Thank you for your response.

      I’m using a developer account, and my company admin confirmed that they’re unable to assist with this issue.

      The problem is that I cannot create a new account with the same business email because it always redirects me to the existing one, requesting an OTP. Who can I contact to request the deletion of my current developer account?

      Additionally, creating a new account with a personal email isn’t an option, as it’s not allowed.

      I would greatly appreciate your assistance in deleting my existing developer account so that I can set up a new one.

        Hello @User17321220942378504336 (Customer)​ , if your Dev org is affiliated with your company, and your company has a paid account, they can use the paid account to open a case with Support. In this scenario, the admin opening the case will need to specify the impacted org's URL.

        If your company has a paid account, they can reach out to the Account Executive as well. They can engage with the Support team.

         

        If you want to decommission an org, email us at community@okta.com. However, there is a chance you won't be able to reuse the email address.
