Org2Org Application push group fails with the following errors visible in the Okta System logs:

Unable to update Group Push mapping target App group <group name>: Error while updating user group membership for group <group name>: One or more errors occurred during update group membership.

 FAILURE: This operation is not allowed in the user’s current status.

The group push failed because some users in the affected group were not provisioned successfully in the target Okta org.

1. To push a group successfully, the users who are the members of the group should be provisioned successfully before pushing the group. Make sure that all members of the affected Push Group do not have any provisioning errors and are provisioned successfully in the target Okta org. 
2. Find those users in the Source Okta org Dashboard > Task > Profile push updates encountered errors, and/or Application assignments encountered errors for the Org2Org app. Fix the provisioning errors encountered for all Users who are members of that Push Group.

3. Afterward, go to Source Okta org Admin Console, navigate to Applications > Org2Org App > Push Groups, and attempt the group push again.

NOTE: This error could occur if users are deactivated in the target Okta org while they are active in the source Okta org. Due to the inconsistency, pushing the users can get FAILURE: This operation is not allowed in the user’s current status. Verify the user's status in both source and target Okta org to see if there are any inconsistencies and fix the affected user's provisioning issues.
