Okta Datadog Provisioning Fails With User Account Is Inactive Error

Overview
Okta generates a provisioning error for Datadog when the user account is inactive in Datadog and the deactivate user setting is disabled in Okta. Enabling the deactivate user setting in the Datadog application provisioning configuration resolves this issue. The following error appears during provisioning:
Automatic provisioning of user <username> to app Datadog failed: User account is inactive

Cause
The error occurs because the matching user account is inactive in Datadog, and the deactivate user setting is disabled in the Datadog application provisioning settings in Okta.
Solution
How is the Datadog inactive user provisioning error resolved?
Enable the deactivate user setting in the Datadog application provisioning configuration and retry the failed task.
- Go to the Okta Admin Console and navigate to Applications > Applications.
- Select the Datadog application.
- Go to the Provisioning tab and select To App in the left settings menu.
- Select Edit.
- Select the Deactivate Users checkbox.
- Select Save.
- Navigate to Dashboard > Tasks.
- Retry the failed Datadog assignment task.
