Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with Okta authentication and passkeys.
When I log in from my Windows PC, the WebAuthn pop-up still shows old passkeys from previous devices (Pixel 7 and an older Pixel 10) that no longer exist or work.
On my Mac, I only see the correct and current authentication methods (Touch ID, Okta Verify, and my current Pixel 10).
Here’s what I have already tried:
* Removed all obsolete security keys in Okta under Security Methods
* Verified that Chrome’s passkey manager is empty (chrome://settings/passkeys)
* Checked Windows Credential Manager (no Okta entries)
Despite this, Windows continues to show the old Pixel passkeys that lead nowhere.
It seems the WebAuthn dialog on Windows is using outdated data from Okta or from a Windows cache, but I cannot see or remove those keys anywhere.
Has anyone encountered this issue or found a way to reset or refresh the WebAuthn key list that Okta provides to Windows?
Thanks,
Arthur

Hi @ArthurB.11942 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!
While Okta provides the Product(IAM, SSO, Okta Verify etc.), individual application access, account management and access policies are handled by your organization or service provider.
Please reach out your company's or service provider's IT support or Help Desk so they can review the matter and provide further assistance.
That being said, the matter would not be managed on the Okta integration side. Most likely this has to do with the account settings on the Windows device (Setting > Accounts > Passkeys), but if the device is company managed, I strongly recommend discussing options with your team before making any system changes.
If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.
Hope my answer helps!
