A client has asked the following questions regarding Okta Dashboard notifications. I have searched and unable to find useful information to answer. Are you able to answe or point me in the direction of answers
- OKTA notifications used to pop up when a user logged in, but after the last update this functionality has gone, it no longer pops up. Do you know Is this coming back and in what version?
- Can you set an expiry date on a notification so it clears after a set period of time?
- The character limit on notification sis currently 150. Could this be made bigger

Hi @5gvuy (5gvuy),
Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!
For the first inquiry, I would recommend to check the Roadmap since here is where upcoming features are being announced:
Additionally, for the same inquiry, I have tried to look over the Okta released notes but I haven't managed to find a mention of this change being made but I have provided the link bellow in case I have missed it. Keep in mind that these are the release notes for the production environments:
Unfortunately, for the other two inquiries (set an expiry date/increase the character limit), I would recommend to submit a feature request to have these kind of functionalities. Once feature requests are submitted they are visible to other Okta admins, who can vote on them to provide more visibility. Using this method will allow you to maintain visibility on your feature requests throughout the process.
I hope the above information is useful!
