Verification Help

I have the Okta verify app downloaded on my phone and previously had it connected with my place of work. The account got deleted off my app but will still require me to verify myself when I try to log into something at work. I logged into my account settings online but I do not have access to set up another way of verification so I can use the app on my phone. Do I have to contact my administrator for this or can you give me access? Thanks!

    Okta Verify works by binding to your physical phone hardware and the installed software instance.

     

    Okta Verify only works on one device for each Okta account.

     

    Uninstalling Okta Verify, Changing Phones, Transferring or Restoring your Phone Data, using Mobile Phone Cleaning Apps, or Resetting your Phone are some of the things that may result in the binding being broken between your phone and Okta Verify, and you will need to re-enroll your device in Okta Verify. To do this, you’ll need to contact your organization's IT department.

     

    However, you may be able to reset Okta Verify yourself. Check out https://support.okta.com/help/s/article/Resetting-your-Okta-Verify-Token?language=en_US. If you're unable to follow the steps in this document, or the option to select another factor isn't available, then please contact your IT Department and they will be able to assist you and get you up and running.
