Is this issue only happening with Internet Explorer? If so, it's likely isolated to a configuration in the browser. I suspect it's configured to either not accept cookies or clear them out when the browser is closed. I recommend checking your cookie settings.
Open Internet Options, go to the General tab, and confirm if "Delete browsing history on exit" is checked. If this is not checked, then go to the Privacy tab, click the Advanced button, and confirm if cookies are configured to be blocked.
