Overview

As of April 10, 2025, the Okta Status Page has been enhanced, providing the ability to filter by cell and functionality for Super Admins and Admins with the Case Admin permission to subscribe to trust notification emails from Okta.

New Super Admins for an Okta Org will no longer be subscribed by default but will instead need to opt-in and subscribe to receive these email notifications. Any Super Admins or Admins who were currently subscribed to receive Trust Notification emails prior to this change will continue to be subscribed and receive these notifications.

Solution

The functionality to subscribe to Trust Notification emails from Okta has moved to the Okta Status Page. New Super Admins defined for an Org are not subscribed to these email notifications by default. Super Admins and Admins who have been assigned a role that gives them the Case Admin Permission can sign in and subscribe to these email notifications.  To subscribe to email notifications:

  1. Navigate to the Okta Status page at status.okta.com.
  2. Log in to the Okta org.
  3. Select the option for Subscribe to Updates.

Prior to this change, the setting to receive Trust incident notification emails from Okta was defined by selecting the Trust Incidents and Updates checkbox available on the Okta Dashboard under Settings > Account > Admin Email Notifications > Okta Communications. This checkbox is no longer available on the Okta Dashboard. Users who previously enabled this option will continue to be subscribed and receive Trust Notification emails.
