This article will review available options to Okta administrators to review Telephony usage within an Okta tenant.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Telephony: SMS and Voice
- MFA Reports
Telephony Usage Report
The primary tool Okta administrators have to review Telephony usage in an Okta tenant is the Telephony Usage Report. The Telephony Usage report provides data on the organization's telephony events within a specified time period. Filter the report by Voice or SMS events, and identify usage trends over time.

NOTE: When Okta's telephony service is disabled, Okta Verify Enrollment will continue to work through Okta's telephony providers regardless of Bring Your Own Telephony (BYOT) configured via the telephony inline hook. This usage will still show in the Telephony Usage Report and System Logs.
System Logs
Another option would be to reference Okta System Logging data. SMS and Voice events can be queried for a deeper inspection and may be exported for further analysis. This can help provide additional insights into when and where they may be in use. For more details, on searching the system log for SMS and Voice events, reference the Knowledge Article:
MFA Enrollment Report
Okta Administrators may also gain additional insight into SMS and Voice use by reviewing the MFA Enrollment Report by user. This report shows which authenticators each user has enrolled in and can be filtered to list users with "Phone" authenticators (SMS and Voice). The list can be exported as a CSV for further analysis and tracking.
