Litmos Provisioning Error - Internal Server Error is Thrown

Overview

This article addresses the provisioning error: 

Automatic provisioning of user Account_Name to app SAP Litmos failed: Error while trying to push profile update for account_email@domain.com: Internal Server Error Please fix this on the Tasks Page may occur when trying to push users from Okta to SAP Litmos.

Cause

This issue may occur when trying to provision users who do not have the Hire Date attribute filled out when attempting to provision the users to Litmos or have the attribute in an incorrect format. This is an undocumented SAP Litmos limitation that may cause the error to occur.

Solution

When Provisioning users from Okta to SAP Litmos, be sure to map the Hire Date attribute in the yyyy-mm-dd format in the Directory > Profile Editor > SAP Litmos > Mappings > Okta to SAP Litmos page.
