How to Remove the Request App Button from the End User Dashboard

Overview

This article provides the steps to remove the Request an Application button from the Okta end-user dashboard.

Request an Application button

Applies To
  • Okta End-user Dashboard
  • Okta User Portal
  • Okta Admin 
Solution
  1. Log in to the Okta Admin dashboard. 

  2. Navigate to Applications > Self-Service

  3. The Settings tab should be visible. If yes, click Settings

  4. In the section for User App Requests, click Edit.

  5. Uncheck the box for Allow users to email "Technical Contact" to request an app.
  6. Click Save.

 After these changes, the button to Request an App will no longer appear.
