iPhone will not go any further after I scan the export barcode

After scanning the export barcode the phone just sits and spins. IOS Version 26.6.1. The time is correct and set to automatic. iCloud Private Relay is turned off. I don't know where else to turn with this issue.

Hi @SalvadorA.40402 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

You are experiencing a situation where your iPhone running iOS 26.6.1 gets stuck in a loading state (spinning) after you scan the export barcode in Okta Verify, and the app does not proceed to the next step.

This is typically caused by a network connectivity issue, app synchronization problem, or a background process blocking the enrollment. Since you have already confirmed that iCloud Private Relay is off and your device time is set to automatic, the next steps are to verify app-level settings and clear any cached state.

    Solution:

Follow these troubleshooting steps in order:

    1. Open the Okta Verify app on your iPhone.
    2. Navigate to Settings within the app.
    3. Tap "Sync Okta Verify Time" to force a time synchronization between the app and your device.
    4. Verify that Okta Verify notifications are enabled. Go to your iPhone Settings → Notifications → Okta Verify and confirm that notifications are turned on.
    5. Check your iPhone's battery optimization settings. Go to Settings → Battery and Power Saving, and ensure that Okta Verify is not restricted or in low-power mode that would prevent it from functioning.
    6. Confirm your network connection is stable. Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or use cellular data to rule out a network issue on your current connection.
    7. Force-close and restart the Okta Verify app. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or use the app switcher) to close Okta Verify completely, wait 10 seconds, then reopen it and attempt the export barcode scan again.
    8. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the Okta Verify app from the App Store to clear any corrupted app data, then retry the enrollment.

If you have completed all these steps and the app still spins after scanning the export barcode, contact your company's IT Help Desk or IT support team. They can verify your account status, reset your enrollment if needed, and ensure there are no organization-level restrictions preventing the enrollment from completing.
