I have a question while installing the AD Agent.
I noticed this option isn't selected by default, but I was wondering when I should or shouldn't use it.

The latest AD Agent version now supports LDAPS.
You can check the following article for some additional details, but it's not required for a standard installation.

It uses LDAPS for communication between agent and AD. Even though it is internal network it is suggestion use SSL which wasn't an option before but a feature added in new agents.
