Unable to Access dev-* Okta Instance After Phone Change

Hello,

I’m the admin of a dev-* Okta instance and recently switched to a new phone. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to transfer my Okta Verify account to the new device. When I attempt to log in, I’m prompted for Okta Verify, which I don't have.

I’ve been unable to open a support case or find another way to reach assistance, so I’m reaching out here as a last resort. Does this mean I need to create another dev account?

@AnhP.61974 (Customer) Were you the only admin in the tenant? If there are any other admins, they should be able to help you recover.

By any chance if you have an active API token stored somewhere, that can be used to reset factor for your account via API.

If non of the option applies,

If you are on paid account, you should be able to get support by rising a ticket.

Locked out integrator accounts /free tenants do not have support access. Best is to create a new tenant altogether if you aren't on paid licence.

Hi @RohitU.50441 (Trevonix) - thanks for the feedback here.

I am the only admin in the tenant and don't have an active API token stored.

I also am not on a paid account. So it looks like a new tenant altogether.

unfortunately if you lost access youll have to create a new tenant from scratch from developer.okta.com. okta doesnt provide any support for free tenants anymore
