Can't login after disabling 2FA Okta Verify in Security Settings

Hi,

regarding the phasing out of Okta Developer Edition organizations, we decided to create a Okta Integrator Free organization to move all our configuration data to the new organization, as our Developer Edition organization stopped working.

After I disabled the Two Factor Authenticaion (Okta Verify) in the Policies and Security Settings, I got logged out of my account and there was an error displayed with: 403 Not Authorized.

Now I can't log in anymore to access my Integrator organization (Login Failed. Please contact the Support).

I am looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards

Viktor

You should not disable MFA org wide since MFA is mandatory for accessing admin console.

If you have API token active, you could potentially use it to add the multifactor back via API.

If you don't have an API token, I'm afraid there is no way to recover it. If you are a paid customer you could reach out to support.

We’re experiencing the same issue with our account. How is it even possible for it to be deactivated? We also had no idea that deactivation would affect everything. Is there any way to recover our account?

We are experiencing the same error as well. @RohitU.50441 (Trevonix) is there a way to fix this? Not sure why it's even an option to disable MFA if it immediately bricks the entire account.
