Auto Prov of user to Salesforce Failed. Credentials invaliď

I update a Salesforce user's email and user name in Salesforce. Now the user can't log into Salesforce. This was the only change made in SF was to this user. What do I need to configure or fix on the OKTA side please? Thanks.

Hello @BarbaraL.53525 (Customer) , thank you for contacting Okta Community.

Try to look at the username the user has for the app in Okta and ensure it matches the one in Salesforce.

Log into the Okta Admin Console and look up the user under Directory > People. Access their Okta profile. On the Applications tab, locate the Salesforce app and look at the username, like in the screenshot of this test user:

Screenshot 2025-07-02 at 01.11.38Save the changes. If there is still an error message on the profile, fix it from the Task page. The error message should have a direct link to it.

Let me know if the error clears.

    Regards.
