zhzq9 (zhzq9) asked a question.

Azure Virtual machine drives confirmed encrypted via bitlocker, but okta verify states disk is not encrypted and therefore unable to authenticate

I recently stood up a pair of virtual machines in Azure. They're showing as encrypted in Bitlocker but okta will not recognize this encryption. Has anyone seen this before?

  • Hi @zhzq9 (zhzq9) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

If you haven't had a chance yet, please review the following article:

Disk Encryption Type is Reported as NONE when BitLocker is Enabled

Beyond that, I haven't seen any similar reports.

If you've run the PowerShell command to validate everything and are still experiencing this issue, please open a case to work with my colleagues from the Support Team to investigate this further. They'll be able to access additional tools and resources to help you get to the bottom of it.

    Hope my answer helps!
