Automations - password expiry reminder email's password expired day is different from the password reset prompt expiry day
Is there any timezone calculation in OKTA password expiry reminder email from automations? I have enable the password reset prompt for 7 days and automation for password expiry reminder email for last 7 days with that user can receive the email and they can see the password reset prompt after login.
But i am seeing date difference in email and password reset prompt,
exapmle :
- The automation was added for 7 days for password expiry reminder and will trigger for 12pm EST to send an email, and have a user password expire in 7 days.
- The email was sent to the user with the message saying the password will expire in 7 days
- When the user login successfully but the user seeing the message in the prompt saying password will expire in 6 days.
- There is a whole day difference between the email and the message in password reset prompt.
- Have tested immediately after the email triggered still its the same, exported password health report and compared with last password reset, the prompt message looks correct and the automation is triggering properly.
Is there any setting i need to configure to match the dates on both areas? or did i missed anything in the automation? or automation is not triggered from the last password reset?

The password change for a user is calculated based on the user's last time and date change and the automation is set to evaluate the conditions of the next password change at a certain Date and time once per day and by the time the user logs in the 7 days is not longer in effect.
Based on this the issue you are seeing this would be expected behaviour.

Hi @paul.stiniguta1.508386743840768E12 (Okta, Inc.) thanks for the quick reply , so there is a chance that i get the password expiry email on the same day if the password is expired? for example the password expires at 6am but the mail trigger is 7am i will still receive the email as password will expire in 1 day?
