Hello @User17406494550008585706 (Customer) , thank you for contacting Okta Community.

If you lose access to your org's Admin Console, the only way to resolve this is with a support ticket. Opening a support ticket is a feature available to paid accounts. You can read more about it in the Workforce Identity Cloud Free Trial Account Support Policy Change article.

If you have a paid production account with us, please leverage it to open a case via the support.okta.com site or call the support line (Customer Support Account ID number required). If those options are not available for you despite having a paid account, please contact your Okta Account Executive or Customer Success Manager, and they will be able to engage the Support team on your behalf.

Unfortunately, if no paid developer or production account is available, the only option left is to sign up for a new free trial or developer account. You may need to use a different email address.

Alternatively, if you do not have a paid account but are interested in getting one, you can contact our Sales team. A paid account to be used to request assistance for a connected free account, but the Sales team would have more details on that.

    Regards.

  • I have not lost my password since I am logged into my github account. Cleary, it's some backend issue in okta that it is not accepting my SSO login. Interesting my OIDC API applications are working, but my developer account is inaccessible. So something has changed in the OKTA SSO settings for github login flow. It should not be hard to check my account since my login ID is already shared.

@User17406494550008585706 (Customer) If there is an admin user in your org with access to the Admin Console, they could look at the logs and determine the cause of the issue.

If you have a paid production account with us, you could open a support case and have one of our engineers investigate the issue.

      Regards.

  • This is the admin account but sadly, I am asked to pay for a problem that I am not responsible for, as nothing has changed in my okta developer account since the last login .

@User17406494550008585706 (Customer) Without a ticket, we can't diagnose the issue accurately. However, it's likely because you have failed to set up MFA for the admin account/s of your org. You can read more about it in the Frequently Asked Questions on MFA Enforcement for the Admin Console article. As previously mentioned, once all access is lost to the Admin Console of an org (regardless of the reason), the only way to regain it is through a support ticket, which is exclusive to paid accounts.

You can create another free account using a different email address.

      Regards.
