kt284 (kt284) asked a question.

Verification of IP Not Listed in Oktas Official IP Ranges

Hello Okta Support Team,

I am writing to request your assistance in verifying an IP address that does not appear in Oktas official IP ranges list https://s3.amazonaws.com/okta-ip-ranges/ip_ranges.json.

The IP address in question is 18.202.193.86. I have noticed that this IP was used to execute the user.authentication.auth_via_mfa event in my Okta admin console. However, I cannot find this IP in the aforementioned JSON file.

Could you please confirm if this IP belongs to Okta? Additionally, do you have another list of IP addresses that might not be included in the public JSON file?

Thank you in advance for your help. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Ciprian

  • Hi @kt284 (kt284) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

As far as the Okta implementations are considered, this article (includes the link you mentioned) would be the one to reference the IPs currently being used. As such, if the IP mentioned by you is not in the list it cannot be considered as one of ours.

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope my answer helps!
