xlkwm (xlkwm) asked a question.

Okta verify for windows wont launch, it is running in task manager Windows 10

the okta verify app when launched appears to open but disappears immediately, it is still running as 64bit in the task manager.

tried 'run as administrator' during install and launching the app, same issue

we have uninstalled, removed all okta folders and reinstalled, same issue.

I've got the event logs which dont point me to much but I can add them if its helpful

      Hi @xlkwm (xlkwm).

      Understood.

I've looked into this and found a similar report for DELL devices specifically, after a BIOS update.

There were some troubleshooting steps mentioned but never confirmed.

      1. Remove all WOV enrolled accounts if WOV can open manually.
      2. Uninstall the current WOV.
      3. Double check the next path: current user\AppData\Local\Okta\OktaVerify, and make sure the folder is empty.
      4. Install WOV
      5. then enroll the account.
      6. Check if the account can work or not.

Unfortunately I don't have explicit details or solutions at this time so I recommend opening a case to work with our Support Team to have this investigated. They'll be able to access additional tools and resources to help you get to the bottom of it.

The Okta Community Questions forum isn't really meant for in-depth troubleshooting.

      Regards.
