Upgrade personal Okta org to OIE

Hi Team,

How can i get my personal DEV Okta org: dev-xxxx upgraded to OIE? I don't see an option to upgrade. This is an individual org account.

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

dev orgs and preview orgs cannot upgrade to OIE. I suggest you create a new tenant if you'd like to use OIE 🙂

How are we supposed to replicate the upgrade process if unable to test in dev? I understand we could setup an identical dev environment with new settings replicated but it doesn't really give a true upgrade overview.

    Hi Mark,

I get where you're coming from and see what you'd like to achieve. I had this myself but unfortunately because of the dev and preview orgs cannot upgrade there is no other way than creating a new tenant, but that will not provide the right solution. Or what I did is creating a test user and set up app sign on policies (by creating apps that I named low, medium or high assurance app policies) to see how they migrate and what happens with the sign on experience on the end user.

After the upgrade you can test things with the end user and set it up how you'd like to have it and after that remove the test account. Hopefully this will still help you migrating to OIE.
