Upgrade for Classic Engine to OIE Device Trust

We are going to be upgrading from classic engine to OIE and we currently have device trust enabled for mac’s and windows. The documentation reads as if after the upgrade that will continue to function the same until we roll out okta verify and fast pass. Can someone confirm that is accurate?

could you create case with support team?

Hi @BrianB.89033 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

While pre-existing Device Trust implementation would still stand and the users would not be impacted, it would not be manageable (as the devices would not show up in the UI) via Okta until you perform the appropriate configuration steps.

The Legacy Device Trust will function in OIE as long as you do not roll our FastPass.

⚠️ Please note that you cannot revert this, so please make sure to not to configure OktaVerify/FastPass until your organization is ready to transition to the OIE Device Trust model.

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope my answer helps!

We were upgraded into OIE, after which had to re-enroll all devices manually.
