UPN and email address for Okta login, is it possible?
I opted to use AD UPN for Okta credentials in my environment to stick with a familiar convention, it's worked very well until...
I finished ws-federation with M365 over the weekend and observed the Okta login will always fill with the users email address. Unfortunately this means the users will then have to replace it with their UPN. I'm sure you can appreciate the mass confusion this is generating.
Ideally I would just allow both to function as the username, before I start digging through documentation I thought I'd ask if anyone can comment on whether this is even possible. Or have another suggestion I haven't considered.

I remembered seeing this in the past and found the old post, but in the meantime there seems to have been a change/fix to this as per this article.
I recommend opening a case and going over this with my colleagues from the Support team.
