Dear Everyone,
I am trying to send push notifications to a specific user using the API endpoint /api/v1/users/{userId}/factors/{factorId}/verify. The push notifications are being delivered successfully via the Okta Verify app. However, when authenticating, clicking 'Yes, it's me' results in a direct success without requiring any biometric verification such as fingerprint or facial recognition. It seems like this might be due to it being a possession factor authentication method, but I am curious if it's possible to also receive biometric authentication through the API. The Okta Verify app is already set up for biometric authentication on the user's device.
Additionally, I have not integrated a custom Okta app. I am merely testing this scenario by using the userId and the registered factorId values in the API call. I would appreciate it if biometric authentication could be added to this process.

Hello @Ìù•ÏÑùÌïú.52841 (Customer) Thank you for posting on our Community page!
Yes, you should be able to set the policy for the user to be asked for Biometrics once they hit "Yes, It's me". The Biometric is controlled from the Authenticators settings, Authenticators-> Okta Verify->User verification and set to Required. Please also see our doc below:
