When provisioning an SSO user when do we create a user in our host system
We have two problems to solve. How to create a new user in our host system when a new SSO user comes in, and how to assign namely role and clientId to that new user in our host system,
When a new SSO user is created in okta would it be better to set up an inline hook or an event hook so that we can create a user in our system.
When using the above mentioned hook, can we pass a parameter to that hook that states what client/identity provider it came from?

If you system supports SCIM Provisioning this will solve both your problems, this will create the user on the application side and at the same time it can push attribute from Okta to the application. Please see our doc on how to create this:
