Hello,
We have workday - okta setup in which we have set workday as a profile source (deactivate user in okta if the user is terminated in workday). We have a scenario where HR terminates a user in workday with past dated termination date, which deactivates the user in Okta. However, the termination date is not reconciled to Okta. Our business requirement is to ensure workday termination date should always be in sync with Okta mapped termination date attribute as we have a legacy system that requires termination date.
We have tried every possible scenarios that we could, but lands into termination date not sync with workday term date. This problem only happens when the HR terminates the user in workday with past date. I believe, this is expected behavior.
Is there any other way to achieve the business requirement ? (We would prefer workday to source deactivation rather than developing a workflow to deactivate the user in okta).

Hi @User17044456803155412647 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!
You are correct. This is the current expected behaviour and it’s covered by the following Workday "TerminationDate" Attribute article.
You can suggest a Feature Enhancement for this on the Okta Community page by going to the Community→ Ideas tab. Features suggested in our community are reviewed and can be voted and commented on by other members. High popularity will increase the likelihood of it being picked up by the Product Team and it being implemented.
More details here.
If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.
Hope my answer helps!
