jolio (jolio) asked a question.
Hello. I currently use an Exchange 2010 (I know, out of support) server as a management console only. Meaning I just use it to create the the user & remote mailbox. This process creates the user in AD as well an email address and aliases. Azure AD Connect then syncs this user to O365.
If I use Universal Sync to provision new users in O365, I still need an Exchange management console, correct? Meaning there is no other way to create the necessary attributes using just AD. I can create a user in AD as well as assign an email address, however, as far as I know there is no way to assign email address aliases this way.

Hello @jolio (jolio) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!
Universal Sync and User Sync can not be used with AAD Connect, but if you plan to use Universal Sync, this option supports over 40 attributes, which includes alias and you can sync then from AD to Okta and then further on into Office.
