jolio (jolio) asked a question.

Provision Users To Office 365 (Using LCM) - Currently Using AAD Connect & Exchange Server (Management Console Only)

Hello. I currently use an Exchange 2010 (I know, out of support) server as a management console only. Meaning I just use it to create the the user & remote mailbox. This process creates the user in AD as well an email address and aliases. Azure AD Connect then syncs this user to O365.

If I use Universal Sync to provision new users in O365, I still need an Exchange management console, correct? Meaning there is no other way to create the necessary attributes using just AD. I can create a user in AD as well as assign an email address, however, as far as I know there is no way to assign email address aliases this way.
