Use case for Application Groups (Import Groups) option in Provisioning

Hi. What are the use cases for Application Groups imported from provision enabled apps?

When setting up provisioning for an app, "Import Groups" is checked by default and imports app groups into Okta. What is this used for? Is this safe to disable after being already enabled?

Thanks!

Hi @9n4l6 (9n4l6) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

While the use of Application Groups is not mandatory, they are generally used in conjunction with features like Push Groups and Group Rules depending on your organization's requirements.

I would recommend reviewing all of your current configurations before removing them in case there is any pre-existing dependency.
