How reduce sync duration for application provision import

Hello,

We are trying to use Salesforce to Okta provisioning but we want the account from Salesforce to Okta to created pretty quickly.

Right now we only have the option to run a sync hourly.

Is there anyway we can speed up this process? Such such a workflow? Is there any way to reduce the time it takes to create this account?

Thank you

    Hi @Srinivas Mylavarapu (Customer),

We use Salesforce to do the provisioning part and so the accounts are created in Okta pretty much instantly (with our current SFDC settings). See this Okta page for more info.

  • Hi Jani,

    Thanks for your response.

I am leveraging the REST API OAUTH method and I have enabled the provisioning portion. My users are syncing in both directions and things are working fine.

The challenge I am facing is that, I have to wait for an hour for the account to be created as Okta will only invite the user every hour via the importation function. This is if I use "To Okta" function, "To App" has been instantaneous.

I still don't understand what I need to do for instant account creation after the account shows up Salesforce.

Any specific suggestions on how you implemented instant account creation be helpful.

    Hi Srinivas,

I only manage the Okta part so I don't know exactly what our team's done on the SFDC side, but I've enabled the "Integration" - "Enable API integration" part and provided the team the key and secret.
