HomerB.80641 (Customer) asked a question.

workday - okta filtering / Import only users with a specific email domain

Hi all,

We would like to import from workday only the users that have our email domain OR users who have been assigned in the workday to a couple of specific custom fields (Job Profile or Business Area).

we are trying to use the custom field override option but have not been able to figure it out if that is the proper solution because we are still getting all the users from the import.

We would like to know if this is the way or if there are other alternatives in OKTA with workflows, APIs or something else that we are not aware of.

Any Advises from the community?

Thank you

  • Hi @HomerB.80641 (Customer) ,

Sorry, I've completely misunderstood your request.

I've checked internal resources and unfortunately it is as @n8pnq (n8pnq) mentioned on the other post.

There currently is no way to filter what users will be imported from Workday.

The only thing I can think of is to not have the "auto-confirm" options enabled under the import settings, then picking the users from the import tab that you do want to bring into Okta, but this is not scalable.

You can suggest a Feature Enhancement for Workday imports on the Okta Community page by going to the Community Ideas tab. Features suggested in our community are reviewed and can be voted and commented on by other members. High popularity will increase the likelihood of it being picked up by the Product Team and it being implemented.
