MiroslavL.98193 (Customer) asked a question.

API documentation seems to be outdated.

I have users with the following MFA type "signed_nonce", but can't find how to properly treat it, e.g., perform the factor verification via API calls. Is it the same as "token:software:totp"?

The following document https://developer.okta.com/docs/reference/api/factors/*factor-type has no information on this particular type.

Am I looking at the right document?

Hi @MiroslavL.98193 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

The "signed_nonce" type seems to be leveraged on the Okta Identity Engine side rather than the classic.

Please check the Authenticators API docs to see if this fits better for your use case:

    https://developer.okta.com/docs/reference/api/authenticators-admin/

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope my answer helps!
