y8zss (y8zss) asked a question.
The admin account I use to get into the Okta Developer admin page stopped working. It produces a 400 error that my user account is invalid with details "Identity Provider: OIDC, Error Code: access_denied". The user accounts I setup still work but I can't get access any of the admin settings. I tried clearing cookies and cache and different browsers and all produce this error. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello @y8zss (y8zss) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!
From the error it's indicated that you are using an OIDC identity provider where you do not have access. Maybe someone set that up as the IDP in Okta or a routing rule for authentication to that IDP.
I would recommend to try to login from the default Okta page: domain.okta.com/login/default (where domain is replaced with the name of your Okta tenant)
If that does not work we recommend to discuss with other admins from your org to be sure your access was not restricted in any way.

Hi @paul.stiniguta1.508386743840768E12 (Okta, Inc.),
Thanks for the reply. I'm the only Admin and using this Dev account for a lab. The only admin account is the one I'm locked out of. Is there any other way to recover access to the admin portal? I'd be fine starting from scratch - I just need to get in again. Thanks! Tom
@y8zss (y8zss) You would need to reach out to Support and ask for password reset to regain access to your account.
I am also facing same issue. @y8zss (y8zss) are you able to resolve this? if yes please share what steps you followed ?
I am to facing this problem. Is there no way to ask for a password reset foor my admin account?
Facing the same issue. Lets see if the support can solve this one.
Here comes the fun part - I can't "Open the case" because I'm not an admin - it looks like my Account and my "Dev environment" were disconnected somehow.
Indeed a real Catch22, to solve it one has to open a case, but to open a case one must be loggin as Admin.
