Take a look at the old post (link below) as it might help you figure out your issue. Sounds like a you might need to adjust your mappings for your app in the "Profile Editor". Use the "Preview" textbox at the bottom of the "Okta to your app" mapping tab/page and verify you have no errors and are mapping the username.
