I had a user calling this afternoon asking if there was a way to prevent Okta from creating shortcuts on the Desktop folder every time Okta has an update. None of my colleagues know and I did my Google search but did not find matching result.

At Okta we have only 1 application that can be accessible by the endusers and that is Okta Verify desktop version, however this app will no create shortcuts it just provide access to the Okta Organisation.
I would recommend to discuss with the enduser and see exactly what kind of shortcuts they are seeing on their desktop and try to understand where they are coming from.
