Recommended way of handling Emails on a Okta non production environment

We use Okta preview for our non production environment as such for testing purposes we may use emails that aren't real or made up. Given that Okta doesn't seem to allows us to configure the SMTP server so that we could capture the emails from our non production environment, are there any other recommended approaches other than only using real email addresses ?

  • Hi @c5p1e (c5p1e) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

I'm no aware of any official guidelines for this use case, but when I need to test emails notifications in my sandbox environment with fictitious accounts that don't have any PII, I just use public inboxes like Mailinator and so on.

That being said, this should not be misconstrued as an endorsement or support for a particular product, service or company.

    Hope it helps!
