DavidQ.83547 (The National Domestic Violence Hotline) asked a question.

Recommendations on how to handle multiple unique Microsoft 365 Tenants from a single Okta org

Hello,

I am looking to understand the best way to handle a situation we have found ourselves with. Some of our employees are going to be shared between Company A and Company B.

In an attempt to separate out some resources, it has been decided that Company A and Company B will maintain separate Microsoft 365 tenants, but everything will need to continue to be managed from a single Okta org that is owned by Company A.

Is this as easy as just adding a new application for Microsoft 365 to our Okta or are there some other intricacies that we should be observing for best practices?

Yes, it’s basically as easy as that: create another app and assign it to the company B group.
