"New Sign-on detection" email not showing correct OS for some authentications.

Hi,

 

When Authenticating with Okta in a browser, the "New Sign-on detection" email pulls the correct OS information (Windows 10), but when whenever our VPN is Authenticated, this same emails detects the OS as IE11 - Windows 8. Any tips to get more accurate detections?

    Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!

     

    I have tried to find some tips to get more accurate detections, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find any KB articles related to the OS detection.

     

    You might as well try to submit a feature request to see if the product team would be able to enhance the OS detection.  The best way to file feature requests would be from the community site.

     

    Once feature requests are submitted they are visible to other Okta admins, who can vote on them to provide more visibility. Using this method will allow you to maintain visibility on your feature requests throughout the process.
