We currently have Okta sourced users linked to an exact AD object. Whenever we deactivate a user within Okta (sometimes only temporarily), it breaks the link between the Okta object and the AD object. When activating, is there any way to re-establish the link without having to create the object over again in Okta? Thanks for any and all information.

Base on what you are describing, the link should be automatically re-established provided that you are handling the user management as described in the following article and you don't change the deactivated user's group membership. The membership to the group that manages the Active Directory is what would allow this to happen automatically.
