    I have configured Azure with Okta a few times and the mapings can be left as they are and it will not create any issues. The error that you are seeing seems to be indicating that there was no user found when trying to login. I would recommend to review the settings of the IDP setup in Okta and make sure they are correct, I will attach a screenshot of my personal settings that worked for me.

    Please also note that the username used in Azure and the one in Okta do need to match.
