8ozn1 (8ozn1) asked a question.
I installed Okta Verify last month and sometimes the app becomes unresponsive until I restart my phone. The push notification comes in fine and when I open it, I get the screen asking if I just tried to sign in, but tapping the 'Yes, it's me' button does nothing, and the 'No, it's not me' button also does nothing.
I've tried closing the app and opening it again, and the notification about the login attempt successfully shows up again, but the buttons still do nothing. I can back out of the notification to get to the main screen again, but the top right buttons (plus button and overflow menu) also do nothing when pressed.
I've also tried exiting the app, clearing the app's cache from my android settings page, and then opening the app again, but the buttons remain unresponsive.
Restarting my phone seems to fix the problem for a week or two. This has happened 3 times since January.
Another user reported this same issue last year but the question was closed because they were on an older Android 8, unable to update, and they had also rooted their phone (mine is not rooted):

My phone is a Galaxy A31 (model SM-A315G/DSL) on Android 11.

Hello @8ozn1 (8ozn1),
Thank you for posting.
Can you reproduce the issue or in case you face this problem again can you open a bug on the Okta Verify App? This way our developers would have access to the logs to troubleshoot the issue.
To open the bug you just need to click on the three dots on the right side, select the option Send Feedback, and the option Report a bug.
Regards,
Natalia
Okta Inc.
I'm not sure how to reproduce the issue on purpose, it just happens on its own after 2-3 weeks without restarting the phone.
Also the overflow menu does not work when the problem manifests, so I wouldn't be able to access the button for reporting the problem while it's happening. I just reported the problem through the app now though. Hopefully there's enough info in there to work off.
Thanks,
Matthew
