Hi,
we are planning to have BambooHR master Okta. Before implementing this on our Prod environments, I would of course like to test drive this.
Luckily, we have a sandbox environment at Okta. Now to my problem, does anyone know if Okta sets our (in BambooHR) active Employees will be set to active users in Okta? All the Users already exist in the preview as we also use provisioning with BambooHR and our Sandbox - but they have not been activated as there is no need.
What I fear is that when I flip the switch and BambooHR starts mastering our Sandbox, the users get set to active and Okta sends out Welcome and "please set your password emails - which would lead to a total disaster with our Employees now being able to logon onto 2 Okta environments.
Anyone has experience to share? Thanks so much,
Pascal

Hello @PascalR.34046 (Customer),
When you activate a user account, an email notification is sent to the user's primary or secondary email address informing them that their account is active. Included with the email notification are instructions for setting up their account in your org. After you activate a user account, the user can access all provisioned applications assigned to them. If the users have been imported from AD you can use the option "Delegated Authentication" so that your users authenticate to Okta with their AD credentials.
You can verify and confirm this information using the link below:

Well, this was not really the question...
The question was if BambooHR activates OKTA users when they are set to active employees in BambooHR?
or
Is there a way to stop our sandbox to send out emails to activated users (it is only a sandbox environment and I want to avoid that my users are getting emails)
or
is there a way on the OKTA side to prevent user being set to active?
