rfzfa (rfzfa) asked a question.
Hello,
I have read the documentation for the new Okta Dashboard:
https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Settings/new-end-user-dashboard.htm
Also https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Settings/new-end-user-experience.htm and the https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Settings/limit-access-dashboard.htm
I have enabled the “Try new dashboard” functionality for a special group of people.
I prepared end-user communication, when this is submitted, I would like to assign “Everyone” to the application Sign-On policy (let’s say September 13th)
As of October 1st, I would like to remove access to the “old” Okta End-User Dashboard.
I want to know if I can do the following:
1. Can I force End-users as off October 1st, to start the NEW Okta Dashboard?
a. Or will those left over users still have the “Try the new dashboard” button?
b. And are they than depending on when Okta moves them over, OR can I as administrator do something to force this?
2. Can I Force NEW created users, Either in Active Directory (AD mastered) or created in Okta (Okta Mastered) to have the NEW dashboard (and NO op to switch to the Old Dashboard) after I have enabled this for “everyone” (Those new users are not in the basic communication, because they have not started in our company, and also doesn’t have experience with the OLD Okta dashboard, so I would like to let them start as of Day 1 with the new Okta Dashboard.
Thanks for your reply.
Alex

I found the solution for this.
I can use the option "Disable access to the old end user dashboard" on the SETTINGS - CUSTOMIZATION - GENERAL.
This will force users who have not yet changed their dashboard to use the new dashboard
