Adding JSON custom role into Groups

Hi All!

I am currently integrating Iterable into our Okta account. With that being said, I want to bring over the custom roles that we have made in Iterable; however, following the documentation its information me to edit the groups with a JSON code snippet. When I follow the direction within the article to add the custom code, I'm prompted with a pop up saying "There are no Iterable user attributes that can be set at the group level" I've followed the directions exactly as they've been stated in the KB article provided by Iterable (attaching for context). If anyone has any idea's and/or corrections for me, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks all,

Andy

Thank you for contacting Okta Support.

The Group assignment you are referencing is only referencing appuser attributes, the one you can find from the Directory > Profile Editor > Application in question > Profile, they would need to be part of the applications profile in the first part, then there is the actual mapping for the exchange, I believe your App is a Custom SAML App, so first we can make the App level setup for the attributes via the App's profile, but how are we exchanging them via SAML is the next part, that's the actual exchange mapping: the one from the App's General > SAML Settings >GROUP ATTRIBUTE STATEMENTS, we can send the SAML attribute mapped based on the appuser.ValueYouAddedinTheAppProfile which is set at the group level, but you see how the chain would go.

    1) We have the App profile > Attributes, we set the appuser.value for Group Assignment

    2) We use the value to Assign it via Group to Users

    3) We map this appuser value from the Group Assignments of users to actually send in the SAML attribute statement

    Name

    IsendThisSAMLAttributeValue

    Name format

    Unspecified

    Value

    appuser.ValueYouAddedinTheAppProfile

    Group Attribute

If needed, please open a case on our portal and we will be glad to help you.
