Can't get parameters for a workflow triggered by Account Deleted

I have set up a workflow that sends notifications to a Slack channel anytime a status change happens to an account (Activated, Deactivated, Suspended, etc.). The workflow takes some info from the user account and passes it to the notification. The problem is that I can't get any data from an Account Deleted trigger. The trigger works but when the workflow goes to get the data from the account, it is already deleted! This makes logical sense, but what is the point of the Account Deleted trigger? Is there any clever workaround that will get me the account data before it has been deleted?

  • Hi Conan,

My name is AJ and I will try and answer your question. Unfortunately, once the account has been deleted there is no record in Okta any more to "read" from.

The card is there to allow you to send notifications with the basic information from the card i.e. Slack or email.

If you need to get information prior to this. Please use either the User suspended or User deactivated.

If you have any further questions about this, please open a support case to allow us to assist you further.
