Getting Error: Invalid JSON character: "\"" while following the React Native Login walkthrough

I am setting up authentication on a React Mobile App currently in development, and I am getting an error when I try to run the "schematics @octadev/schematics:add-auth" command. I enter my OIDC app issuer URL and then the OICD app client ID. It adds the first two packages into dependencies and devDependencies, and then the error occurs.
The error points to "ProjectName/node_modules/schematics-utilities/node_modules/@angular-devkit/core/src/json/parser.js:674:22)"
I am not very experienced with Okta, so please let me know what additional information I can provide. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
