6g536 (6g536) asked a question.

Okta verify missing the 'Yes it's me'/'No' options on Apple Watch.

I switched my phone after setting up Okta Verify. Before the switch, I would get the options 'Yes it's me' and 'No...' on the initial message on the Apple Watch. Now, I get the notification without the options. When I click the notification, it opens the app and then it asks the questions.

I have tried re-enrolling on the portal / phone, but the options are still missing on the initial notification. Any suggestions?

  • Hi @6g536 (6g536) ,

Sorry for the trouble! We should have this issue fixed in an upcoming update to Okta Verify. This will fix the issue for not just the Apple Watch, but the Push Notifications on the iOS devices too.

    Thanks!

Thanks! I did find a workaround to restore the original functionality.

    1) Remove the Okta Verify setup from the portal.

    2) Delete the account in Okta Verify on the iPhone.

    3) Uninstall the Okta Verify app from the iPhone.

    4) Verify that Okta Verify is no longer on the Apple Watch.

    5) Reboot the iPhone and Apple Watch.

    6) Install the Okta Verify app on the iPhone.

    7) Setup Okta Verify in the portal, adding the account on the iPhone.

    8) Allow notifications from Okta Verify.

    9) Test verification.

This restore the functionality for me. Hope this helps someone else.

@tim.lopez1.5480328098306519E12 (Okta, Inc.)  would this also resolve the issue on a Garmin Fenix watch?

I’ve just switched from Android to iOS and the Yes/No option doesn’t appear after the switch.

Any timeline on a new update?
