KerryM.30371 (Customer) asked a question.

To enable end users to add their own bookmarks to their dashboard, do we need to enable Access Request Workflow

If we have self service set to just "Allow users to add org-managed apps", end users do not see the "Add bookmark instead" when trying to add a link as an app to their dashboard. Do we need to enable, "Allow users to add org-managed apps feature", to allow this?

Actually, I just found it. Functionality has been added into the new dashboard UI.

    New Okta End-User Dashboard enhancements

The following improvements have been added to the new Okta End-User Dashboard:

    • Improved bookmark creation experience: End users can now create bookmarks for apps that aren’t in their catalog by searching for the app.

  • Thank you for your response. I wasn't aware of this enhancement.

But I tried using this in my test env. As an end user, I could add a Bookmark chiclet for a URL, by clicking "Add Apps" and then looking up Bookmark in the search. It shows me "Add a bookmark" green tab.

And yes, I did NOT enable "Allow users to add org-managed apps" for this to work.
